Thor is a classic Shepherd estimated to be around 5 -6 years of age. Thor was a stray in Johnson County and unfortunately doesn't have a backstory. He gives the impression of a 'junk yard dog' with his injured ear and scars. Thor is extremely sweet with all of the people he meets. He has been around children as young as 3 years old and simply adores them. He loves getting attention and thinks he would make a great lap dog. Although he is thought to be 5 or 6 Thor is still pretty energetic and will need plenty of exercise. His manners are still rough around the edges (and probably not as enforced as they should be) but he picks up quickly. Thor is fostered with other dogs however he does have to be managed in regard to who he can interact with. Thor arrived with a pretty big chip on his shoulder and although he quickly lost his defensiveness with the other dogs he is still a dominate male and doesn't get along with some of the other males. There are some of his fellow foster dogs that can get Thor to play with them and he does well. When he arrived he seemed to be pretty socially awkward with the other dogs and didn't follow the other dogs cues. He has improved vastly but will need to either be an only dog or with a dog who is patient enough to tolerate him. Thor is a really sweet boy and is craving human attention. He is searching for a family that understands that he has never been a loved member of the family and it is all new to him. He may mess up at times but he shows so much love that you can hardly be mad at him. He is patiently awaiting his new home and dreaming of new people to cuddle with.
