Duke is a wonderful young male German Shepherd estimated around 2 years of age. Duke spent the first year of his life on a chain in Garrard county and was a very isolated puppy. Duke had a lot of energy to spare when he arrived and lacked social skills. Duke has since calmed down some but is still a very active and energetic dog. He didn't grow up as a house dog so he can be a bit of a bull in a china shop at times because he forgets his size. He is a very friendly dog and loves people and children (3+yrs old). Duke values himself as a protector of his family though and will let you know if someone is there or something is wrong. Duke can be on the dominate side with other dogs and is sometimes a bit of a bully. He gets along well with the dogs who can handle his roughhouse and he loves to play. Duke also likes to cuddle with people and be an oversized lap dog if allowed. Duke is searching for his forever home to help him continue living a chain free life as he continues to grow into a wonderful companion.
