Rowen is a handsome guy estimated around 4 years of age. Rowen was found as a stray therefore we do not know his history prior to arrival at the shelter. We do know that Rowen is eagerly looking forward to having a family of his own. Rowen is an outgoing, confident guy who has a fun and playful personality. Rowen has been great meeting new people and seems to have a good handle on how to navigate the world. He loves to play with toys but doesn't understand the concept of returning them so 2 toy fetch is necessary. Rowen is eager to please and quick to bond to new people - he is definitely looking for 'his people'. He does great riding in the car, loves going on adventures, and is good for grooming. Rowen has been around children 7 years and up with no issues but has not met any younger children. Rowen does well with other Shepherds and Shepherd mixes in his foster home but does have a more dominant personality. He is still learning to respect the boundaries other dogs set for him as he seems to think he should have a pass on the manners department. Rowen has learned to ignore other dogs while out on walks and can be ambivalent when meeting new dogs. Rowen has slowly been figuring out how to play and does navigate play groups well. Rowen is not cat or small dog friendly and has shown himself to have a high prey drive towards both. Rowen is searching for a playful and adventurous family to call his own.
