Big Papa is a stunning Dutch Shepherd estimated around 1 year of age. Papa was abandoned at a dog park and we do not know his history prior to animal control picking him up. Big Papa is very people friendly and social with no concept of personal space or his size. He believes he is a lap dog and is always close by whatever you are doing. He can be mouthy and nosey, especially when bored, but is easily redirected. He is a toy fanatic and if you're going to bring toys into play you better be prepared to deal with the intensity that Dutch Shepherd bring to play. He is a high energy, high drive boy that is going to require structure and lots of exercise to keep him on track to being a good canine citizen. Big Papa has not been around children at this time. Big Papa has done great with other dogs and spent most of his day in that dog park romping before people realized he was running solo. He does well with the other medium and large dogs in his foster home and would be okay as a single dog or in a multi dog home. Big Papa has not been around small dogs to our knowledge and is too intense for safe cat testing at this time. Big Papa is looking for a home that enjoys to enthusiasm working breeds bring to the home and is prepared to meet the training and exercise needs of a young Dutchie.
